The characters were created by Tobin 'Ted' Wolf and originally featured in an animated television series named ThunderCats, running from 1985 to 1989, which was animated by Japanese studio Pacific Animation Corporation, and co-produced by Rankin-Bass Animated Entertainment. But a toon like this could actually change that and make it "cool" again. ThunderCats is an American media franchise, featuring a fictional group of cat-like humanoid aliens. The Thundercats fanbase isn't strong enough to support itself as a whole yet. The Mattel classics line collapsed in on itself too. And the playsets weren't moving at all either until clearanced out.)

The 2011 series toyline did well at first, but then caved in on itself too after initially really strong sales. Bandai's classics line floundered and collapsed in on it self. That "fan" following isn't quite as strong as you think either.

We could actually see a live action movie grow from the resurgence it causes. So while the toon may not be what you want, you can at least appreciate that the interest it generates in the property could lead to things you will like as opposed to not having anything made for it at all. If they did as you suggest, we'd never get anything thundercats and it'd stay a dead franchise. I mean it's not like Titans are getting a live action netflix series now because they became even more wildly popular by appealing through comedy mixed with nostaglia. is developing a new series for Cartoon Network. Like how Teen Titans GO! is such a complete failure. The popular 80s cartoon show Thundercats will say it's name and 'Ho' once more as Warner Bros. This is just one of those series that had such a fan following that you either do it right the first time or just don't do it at all. In the clip, the Animaniacs parody the iconic 1980s cartoon ThunderCats, with their version called " 80s Cats." The clip perfectly demonstrates the skit-based, parody humor of Animaniacs, and will resonate with fans of the Saturday morning cartoon and its huge accompanying toyline.They should have keep it similar to the 2011 series that was only 1 season or similar styling to the original 80s series. Season 2 of the Animaniacsrevival show is set to debut this Fall, and a brand new first look clip debuted yesterday at New York Comic Con and is now available online on Hulu’s YouTube channel. Relaunching in 2020 for streaming on Hulu, Animaniacs’ revival series managed to continue the show’s strengths in the modern day, gaining it 4 daytime Emmy awards after its first season. Animaniacs originally ran on Fox Kids, and later Kids WB, between 19, with a trademark style of self-referential, pastiche humor that gained it a loving following from kids of the '90s. Animation is a revival of the popular original kids show, following Yakko, Wakko and Dot on their wacky sing-song adventures. The Hulu series, a collaboration between Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment and Warner Bros.
